Ongoing Programs
The Derby Public Library hosts a variety of ongoing young adult programming. All programs are designed for those between the ages of 11-17. To register for any of the below programs please call 203-736-1482.
Teen Chess Club
Learn how the game is played, as well as new and varying defensive/offensive strategies. Mr. Julio Maldonado provides superb expertise from a life-long love for the game.
Meets every Monday (excluding holidays) from 6:30-7:30pm.
Teen Game Night
Join fellow teens for a night of exciting Nintendo Wii games, board games and light refreshments.
Meets the first Wednesday of every month from 6-7:30pm.
Young Adult Movie Night
Once a month the Derby Public Library hosts a teen movie night featuring a recently released DVD. Prior to the movie screening there is a pizza social, and after the movie there is a film critique. Registration is required for this event. Movies are usually scheduled to play from 5:30-7:30pm.
